Although our vehicle is not wheelchair accessible, we are happy to provide every assistance to make your journey smooth and easy. Please ask if you would like help and of course if you have an assistance dog they are welcome to travel with you.

The maximum our vehicle can accommodate is 4 passengers. However, we can potentially arrange two journeys or work with our friends at White Swan Taxis to cater for your journey. Please let us know if advance and we'll see what we can do

We understand how important it is to be able to feel secure during your journey. We are licensed by Mid Devon Council which involves a rigorous vetting process and an enhanced DBS check. You should always check that the taxi you are travelling in carries a Mid Devon (or other council) licence plate, and the driver is wearing their licence badge. Our fares are controlled by a meter with a tariff managed by Mid Devon council and payment can be made securely by card reader or for fixed-price journeys in advance on our website

You can therefore be assured of a safe and comfortable journey.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome to travel with you. I can also accept other well-behaved dogs with advance notice, and it's best if you can bring a blanket for them to sit on

We accept all credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and cash payments. You can also choose to pay by Paypal via payment.

If needed, for bigger bookings we can invoice for online payment or purchase order

For most journeys the fare will be calculated by meter, which is regulated by Mid Devon Council - you can download a copy of the current tariffs below.

Journeys starting between 7am - 9pm (Monday-Saturday) are charged at Tariff 1.

Journeys starting after 9pm or before 7am, Monday to Saturday, or any time on Sundays or Bank Holidays will be charged at Tariff 2, which is 50% higher.

Tariff 3 (double Tariff 1) applies at Christmas and New Year.

The meter fee is mostly calculated by distance, but also on waiting time (if in stationary traffic for example or if you ask me to wait during a journey). There is also the 'flag down fee' - the minimum charge for any journey - this means the meter starts at £3.00 (Tariff 1) or £4.50 (Tariff 2) or £6.00 (Tariff 3) and will go up slowly from there. Charges may also be added for luggage (20p per item) - these will be added to your total at the end of the journey. All charges apply from when you are ready to set off, and not before. There is also a £100 soilage charge should anything unfortunate occur!

For certain journeys we charge a fixed charge (which is less than the metered fare would be). You can find these above, or of course you can ask about specific journeys or regular trips.

Yes of course. We can give you a written receipt, or we can provide one by email or text. We can also provide an invoice with the option to pay in advance

For certain journeys (those beginning after 9pm on weekdays and after 11pm on Saturdays and before 7am) we may request partial payment of the fare (50% of the fixed or likely estimated cost) in advance. This will be deducted from the final cost should the journey be completed. It is also fully refundable if the journey is cancelled with reasonable warning (normally 12 hours). In the event of later cancellation or no-show, the fee is not returnable. We understand things can happen but please give as much notice as possible for cancellations.

This is a new policy due to a number of bookings recently, taken in good faith, which have then been cancelled at the last minute, or no shows, causing considerable inconvenience and/or loss of earnings. I am a one-person operation and late bookings or early mornings have to be pre-planned if I'm to have a normal life (and sleep!) We hope you can appreciate this.

Yes, we offer reliable airport transfer services to and from Exeter Airport which you can book in advance to ensure availability. Transfers or pick ups from other airports can be discussed.

Yes, we have an all-electric vehicle for eco-friendly travel.

During working hours (Tues-Fri, 9am-6pm, Sat 10am-Midnight) we can take immediate bookings, if available. Outside working hours you can request a booking for later (but please allow 12 hours notice if possible).

If I'm not able to fulfil a regular journey for whatever reason I will arrange for our friends at White Swan taxis to take you instead or let you know in good time.

Yes you can. If you need a taxi on standby for an event, a day out or a business meeting, you can book me for a half day (up to 4 hours) for £125 or a full day (up to 8 hours) for £250.

Journeys are unlimited in that time but must be within Devon.

I’ve lived in Devon all my life and I would be delighted to show you the best of the county, taking the stress and hassle out of your journeys, so you can fully enjoy the Devon countryside (and a local beer, cider or wine as well!). These are private tours just for your group (up to 4 people), and unlike many tours it won't include visits to shops or other places you didn't ask for! Only the schedule you decide. Plus you can mix and match half and full days as you like.

Obviously as soon as possible, but this is rural Devon, so it may take a little time to get to you. Therefore we always advise booking in advance if you can so I can be with you in good time.
